My WHY 7 years ago was to rediscover who I was before I lost a lot of my memories and that’s important to help me know who I am and who I am becoming. Let me break the mystery of making money online down for you here and now.
The Internet is just another communication channel. When it comes to sales and marketing, it’s always about coming out with a solution and providing value. You can’t sell something to anyone if there’s no value in your product. You can’t offer anything to anyone without knowing how priceless you are in the first place ~ 3 trillion cells to your name daily!
All the products people are selling to you are built upon this principle of providing a solution and value.
Your domain name is an online address for people to be able to find you and interact with you and buy your recommendations from you.
Your autoresponder is a marketing solution to help you follow up properly with your prospects to provide them with value. You need to guide your prospects so that they can see what value you are offering and be blessed by your solution. Then, you’ll make a sale!
So, you need 1. your Ad to attract them to 2. your presell page that will make them aware of a problem that requires a solution on 3. your sales page. Then, after they submit their email address for you to follow up, and land on your sales page, they are ready to purchase. This is the Marketing and Sales Process.
If they didn’t purchase, * your follow up * will further help them to eventually see the value in the solution you’re offering them. Many more sales happen here. Personally, I consider this follow up part the marketing funnel.
Once you have your product’s Sales and Marketing Funnel in place, meaning your presell page, sales page and follow up emails, you just need to focus on driving traffic.
Putting up ads is the key to * driving traffic * to your presell pages. No traffic = No sales.
Just like an offline business. You need to find a way to get people to view your presell pages.
Who says making money online has to be only confined to online methods of driving traffic? Have you ever visited a website based on a business card, a car decal, a recommendation from a friend via WhatsApp or simply from some offline advertising?
Don’t underestimate where your own circle of influence can get you. Get creative!
Organic or unpaid traffic would also include blogging. This is one of the most effective ways of getting people to know and trust you enough to see the value you are offering and buy from you. There are many other ways which would all include time and effort on your part.
Quick ways of getting people to your presell pages is by sending out solo email ads and doing social media ads. Facebook ads is one of the very fast ways, but done wrongly can put a hole in your pocket.
If you want to do paid advertising, you need to always test out your ads on a small scale. If you can’t achieve a good profit margin, you can’t scale things up. In fact, most marketers do not succeed online because they do not know their numbers.
Simply put, the cost of advertising and the cost of your whole marketing and sales system all need to be factored in. Making back the amount you fork out will only get you to the breakeven point. You need to make much more than that
Test and track the click through rates of your ads, the optin rates of your presell/capture pages, the sales conversion rates of your sales pages, the open rates of your follow up emails …
Testing and tracking is important when it comes to paid advertising, which is what I mainly do. I view my time and effort as priceless. So, I personally prefer to use money in the area of advertising. But I strongly believe in not losing touch with the organic ways simply because I want to be able to help others along.
Unpaid advertising through blogs and certain sites are definitely feasible, but they need time and patience, and they are scalable in terms of the amount of time and effort you put into building them.
